Everton Q+A - New stadium latest, transfer plans and relegation battle

Everton's fight to stay in the Premier League continues next Wednesday as they face Leicester City. The Toffees are now four points clear of 18th place Burnley after their 1-0 win against Manchester United last weekend.

This week, Everton supporters received an open letter regarding the ongoing work and next steps of the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium from CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale.

In the letter, he said: “Our accounts, released last month, revealed the profound scale of the impact the pandemic has had, and continues to have, on our club. They also demonstrated, though, the scale of investment we have already made in our new stadium – and the unwavering commitment of our owner to finish what he has started." Meanwhile, Everton have had time to work on the training pitch with Frank Lampard as they are without a match this weekend. The Blues are next in action when they take on Leicester City on Wednesday evening.

The manager could potentially welcome back a number of players from injury and make a number of interesting changes to his starting line-up. Meanwhile, work will of course be going on behind-the-scenes surrounding potential transfer targets in the summer, even with the precarious position the club currently finds itself in the Premier League.
