Everton land key partner ahead of move to new stadium after copying Tottenham

Everton have made their first major signing in relation to the new stadium build on the banks of the River Mersey by partnering with global live entertainment firm Ticketmaster.

The Toffees are scheduled to move into their new 52,888-seater stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock during the 2024/25 season and have inked a multi-year deal with Ticketmaster to be their innovation partner for the 2023/24 season, the final full campaign at Goodison Park, and beyond, with the deal to run across the transition period to the new stadium.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur had both partnered with Ticketmaster previously through their own stadium moves and will now join the Blues ahead of the switch from their home since 1892 and the development next to Liverpool’s waterfront.

The new partnership also means that, from next season, Everton fans will be able to use Ticketmaster technology when purchasing tickets via the club’s official website, including 3D Virtual Venue, a tool designed to enhance the user experience when selecting match tickets. Supporters will also have greater control over how they manage their tickets online using the Ticketmaster platform, while season ticket members will retain the option to easily and quickly list their seat for resale for fixtures they are unable to attend, or to transfer their seat digitally to a friend or family member.

Richard Kenyon, chief commercial and communications officer at Everton, said: “We are excited about this new partnership with Ticketmaster and the benefits it will provide to our supporters. As we get closer to the move to our new stadium, it was important that we work with a partner with experience in stadium moves and a commitment to future innovation for the Club and our fans.

“Ticketmaster is also well-positioned to support our objectives for non-matchday activities at our new home, which will be very important to us in the years ahead.”

Supporters will be able to access the updated ticketing platform via the club’s official website from Wednesday, June 21. There is no requirement for Everton fans with a supporter number to do anything as access details to all fan ticketing accounts will remain unchanged. The upgrades to the new platform will mean supporters will not be able to access their ticketing accounts from Thursday, June 15.

Chris Gratton, managing director at Ticketmaster Sport UK, said: “Everton's exciting journey to their new stadium is a brilliant opportunity for Ticketmaster to partner with the Club and help them successfully transition as we have done with many clubs in the past.

"We’re delighted to be working with the team at Everton and look forward to partnering with them for a bright future.”

Supporters wishing to purchase Stadium Tours of Goodison Park are advised to secure their tickets by calling the Fan Centre on 0151 556 1878.
