Donny van de Beek arrived at Finch Farm having reportedly completed part of his medical elsewhere in Liverpool.
The midfielder had been linked with a potential switch to Crystal Palace earlier in January but settled on a move to Everton instead on Sunday.
According to Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor, stationed outside the Blues training complex throughout what proved to be a busy day, the 24-year-old arrived at Finch Farm at around 11am.

Shortly after the arrival of Van de Beek, Frank Lampard was pictured entering Finch Farm.
Over the course of the weekend, the former Derby County and Chelsea boss had emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Rafael Benitez - beating competition from the likes of Vitor Pereira and Duncan Ferguson.
Many supporters were on the edge of their seats for a potential announcement on the new manager situation throughout Sunday and into Monday morning.
However, with the boss only arriving at Finch Farm just before 11:45am, they were forced to wait a little longer.
At the same time, Everton were first linked with a potential switch for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic.
The Daily Telegraph's Mike McGrath broke the news to Twitter, claiming the Spanish giants would be willing to let the former Eintracht Frankfurt man leave on loan.

The links were starting to come thick-and-fast for the Blues at this early stage of transfer deadline day.
Just as midday rolled around, talkSPORT shared claims Everton were interested in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli in a permanent transfer.
The arrivals of Van de Beek and Anwar El Ghazi had used up the club's allowance of domestic loans, with Crystal Palace reportedly also interested in the England international on a temporary basis.

Realistically, there was no doubt left over the announcement of Lampard as the club's new manager.
But, if there was any semblance of that among the fanbase, then it was eradicated when an image of the new boss leaked - seemingly taken from the club's official website as they prepared confirmation.

Confirmation from our Everton correspondent Phil Kirkbride arrived over the club's interest in Luka Jovic.
However, it was believed the priority position for the Blues to strengthen still remained the midfield rather than another striker.
The arrival of Van de Beek was still yet to be confirmed but there was still the potential for Everton to chase another arrival before the deadline came around at 11pm.

Finally, the Lampard announcement came through.
Lampard was first pictured as Everton boss in multiple pictures at Finch Farm and alongside Everton owner Farhad Moshiri - with club chairman Bill Kenwright appearing in one image as well.
All three spoke highly on the move in the initial release from the Blues, while Lampard later gave an extensive interview to the club's official YouTube channel which was very promising.

Our man Phil Kirkbride confirmed the news Dele Alli had become a target for Everton on a permanent transfer.
At that stage of the day, it looked as if striking a deal for the midfielder with Tottenham Hotspur might prove to be a little difficult, but it was one the Blues were going to pursue.
As is so often the nature of transfer deadline day, however, things moved very quickly and it wasn't long until rumours spread of a deal having been agreed between the two clubs for the player.

Meanwhile, though, Everton released another interview with Moshiri following the announcement of Lampard as the club's new manager.
The club's owner talked about the process of picking the next boss following the departure of Benitez earlier in the month, and opened up on the advisor role Tim Cahill played in interviews with prospective candidates.
Moshiri also discussed the role of Kenwright, and admitted his "impatient" nature in the past.

Incoming deals had taken up the majority of the day for Everton up until this point.
However now it was time for news on a potential temporary outgoing.
Lewis Warrington has caught the eye of many Evertonians over the course of the season for the under-23s so far, with his performances at the base of a midfield three in recent months particularly proving impressive.
The ECHO confirmed that both Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town has submitted interest in the 19-year-old, which would be his first steps into senior football.

Things were starting to move quickly on Alli's potential switch to Goodison Park.
Precise details of the proposed transfer were still yet to be confirmed, but the ECHO revealed a deal had indeed been reached between the Blues and Spurs over the move.
And, alongside that update, our man Phil Kirkbride revealed Everton were exploring the possibility of signing another defender before the deadline passed.

With a few hours left of the transfer window, Everton's first signing was brought through the door.
Van de Beek's loan switch from Manchester United was confirmed, with the midfielder taking the number 30 for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
The Dutch international explained the influence that a meeting with Lampard had in his decision to make the move to Goodison Park.
And, Van de Beek also discussed his desire to prove himself in the Premier League after finding opportunities somewhat hard to come by during his spell at Old Trafford so far.

Amid a lot of waiting for an announcement on Everton's final incoming move of the window, an outgoing switch was confirmed.
As reported by the ECHO earlier in the evening, Warrington was linked with a loan move away from the club which would represent a first step up to senior football.
And it was announced just half an hour before the deadline that Tranmere had won the race for the promising 19-year-old, who will make the move to Prenton Park for the rest of the 2021.22 campaign.

The transfer deadline passed, the deal sheet was in...so it was just a waiting game for Everton supporters.
And, at 12:20am, the club's third permanent arrival of the window was confirmed.
Dele Alli put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year contract, keeping him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2024.
The midfielder spoke about his delight at signing for the club and his excitement at playing in front of the Blues supporters for the first time.

Everton then announced another late signing as Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Billy Crellin arrived.
Crellin was targeted by Everton in the summer of 2019 but Fleetwood rejected an offer of around £200,000.
The goalkeeper was part of the World Cup winning England under-17 squad in 2017 and was courted by several top-flight clubs at the time.

Everton retained their interest in Crellin and tied him to a two-and-a-half-year deal at Goodison Park after midnight.
And, with that, a hectic deadline day was brought to an end.
