Former Everton goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic has moved to the US, signing a deal with Los Angeles FC.
The 38-year-old was signed on a short-term contract earlier this season after a spate of injuries in the Blues' goalkeeping department. He did not make an appearance for the club and his deal came to an end at the beginning of the month.
LA FC have now confirmed his arrival with club co-president and general manager John Thorrington describing him as a player with "tremendous leadership qualities."

Jakupovic was signed in September as emergency cover following injuries to Jordan Pickford and Andy Lonergan. A thigh injury had ruled Pickford out for a month while Lonergan was sidelined with a knee issue, leaving Frank Lampard with only Asmir Begovic as an option from his first-team squad goalkeepers. Jakupovic made it into the matchday squad just once - the 1-0 win over West Ham United at Goodison Park.
He has now signed a one-year deal with LA FC, with the MLS club having an option to extend it by another 12 months. Confirming the arrival of Jakupovic, who made Premier League appearances for Leicester City and Hull City earlier in his career, Thorrington said: “He is a goalkeeper with vast experience and tremendous leadership qualities, and we are excited to have him, his wife, and family as part of the club.”
