Daichi Kamada assessment
Thierry Henry has heaped praise on reported Everton target Daichi Kamada following another assured performance in the Champions League.
Kamada scored his third goal in the competition on Wednesday evening, slotting home a penalty as Eintracht Frankfurt beat Sporting Lisbon to qualify for the knockout stage draw. The Japanese international has now bagged 12 goals in 19 games across all competitions.

Everton are said to be one of several Premier League sides 'interested' in signing the attacking midfielder - whose contract runs out in the summer - And speaking on CBS Sports Golazo, former Arsenal and Barcelona star Henry has provided some encouraging praise for any potential suitors.
“Daichi Kamada, I came across him when he was playing for Sint-Truidense in Belgium,” Henry said. “I like the way he thinks. I like the way he plays. Typical Japanese player. Not really strong, he doesn’t jump too high and he’s not really fast – but he is there (inside the box). What he does very well is that he always appears in the box.
“Yes, it’s an easy goal, but you have to be there to score them. He can’t run past people, so what he does is he lays it off, then make sure he follows and makes it inside the box. He stays alive every single time. I really like Kamada. He’s a very good player. Not very explosive, but he will find a way to score.”
Osman defends Moshiri
Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman believes that Farhad Moshiri will be as frustrated as supporters over the way money at the Goodison Park club has been spent.
Moshiri has invested heavily in Everton since selling his stake in Arsenal to become the major shareholder in 2016. He increased his shareholding to 94% in January last year. But despite spending about £600m on new players, the Everton owner has presided over a chaotic and turbulent period in the club's history that saw the team narrowly avoid relegation from the Premier League last season.
But despite some of the criticism levelled against Moshiri, Osman, speaking exclusively to the ECHO, believes the level of investment the 67-year-old has pumped into Everton means nothing negative should be said about the British-Iranian businessman.
“I don’t think you can say anything negative about Farhad Moshiri in regards to that because he came and invested,” Osman told the ECHO exclusively. “Yes, we are looking now thinking the money may not have been spent as well as it could have been with regards to bringing in the right type of player. That part isn’t his job. That part is people in different parts of the club, so that will have been frustrating for him when he looks back.”
