Ins
Vitalii Mykolenko
The Blues kicked off their January transfer window on January 1st by announcing the arrival of Ukraine international Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv.
Ukraine’s leading left-back, Mykolenko has won 21 caps for his country and was a key part of the team which reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.
He featured regularly in Dynamo’s past two Champions League campaigns and was instrumental in his side’s domestic league title triumph in 2020/21. He has also won two Ukrainian Cups with Dynamo.
Mykolenko made his Blues debut in the FA Cup win over Hull City before starting his first Premier League game a week later against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
However, the Ukraine international was absent from the Everton squad for the most recent defeat to Aston Villa.
Nathan Patterson
Patterson will become the 33rd Scotland international to represent the Blues when he makes his debut after joining the club from Rangers.
The right-back was the subject of two failed bids from Everton in the summer as they sought to bring in competition for Seamus Coleman.
And after months of speculation, a deal between all parties was finally reached just days after the January transfer window opened.
In a club statement, Everton stated Patterson had joined the club for an undisclosed fee, but the ECHO understands that the deal is worth an initial £11m, with add-ons.
Patterson is yet to feature for the Blues' first-team, but he did play for an hour for the under-23s last week against Tottenham.
Anwar El Ghazi
Everton confirmed the signing of El Ghazi from Aston Villa on a loan deal until the end of the 2021/22 season on January 13.
The winger became the club's third arrival of the January transfer window, following the captures of Mykolenko and Patterson on permanent deals.
Villa had wanted to sell El Ghazi for £15m but Everton were only interested in a loan, having been searching for more options out wide in the last few weeks.
The winger is yet to feature for the Blues, but he was an unused substitute in Everton’s 2-1 defeat to Norwich just two days after he joined the club.
Donny van de Beek
The Blues confirmed the signing of the Dutchman from Manchester United on Monday night following negotiations over the weekend.
The midfielder emerged as one of Europe’s top young talents during Ajax’s 2018/19 season, and reached double figures for goals in three straight seasons for his old club.
However, the Netherlands international has struggled to break into the first team at Old Trafford since a £39m move from Ajax in the summer of 2020.
Van de Beek has made just two starts in the Premier League across the entirety of 2021 and he's played 380 minutes across all competitions this season.
The Netherland international is ineligible for Everton’s FA Cup clash with Brentford this weekend having played for United in the third round at the start of January.
Dele Alli
Alli was the penultimate player to join the Blues on transfer deadline day from Tottenham Hotspur, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
New manager Lampard had been given the go ahead by the Blues' hierarchy to try and sign Alli on deadline day as looked to strengthen his midfield.
This time last year, the 25-year-old looked set to move to Paris Saint-Germain, only for the deal to fall through late in the day.
And since then the England international has struggled to nail down a place in the Spurs starting XI and has played in just two of his side’s last eight Premier League matches.
Billy Crellin
There was even time for Everton to sneak in another deal after the announcement for Alli, with Billy Crellin completing a move from Fleetwood Town.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Toffees and showed promise in the 16 games he played for Bolton Wanderers last season.
Crellin was part of the England squad that won the Under-17 World Cup in 2017.
Outs
Lucas Digne
Digne quickly became a fan-favourite at Goodison Park following his £18m move from Barcelona in the summer of 2018, fitting straight into Marco Silva's side in place of Leighton Baines.
But the full-back completed his transfer to Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee, understood to be £25million, in the middle of the window.
Digne last played for Everton in the 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool on December 1 with Rafa Benitez claiming that the left-back no longer wanted to play for the club.
However, less than a week after the Frenchman's departure, Benitez was sacked following a poor run of form that saw the Blues slip down the table.
The Frenchman made his Villa debut against Manchester United before returning to Goodison Park with his new side just weeks after leaving the Blues.
Digne left Everton having scored six goals across 127 appearances in all competitions during his three-and-a-half year spell on Merseyside, bagging 20 assists in that time.
Ellis Simms
Everton confirmed that Simms had completed a loan move to Heart of Midlothian last week.
The forward has found himself around the Blues first team on multiple occasions this season after impressing on loan at Blackpool last season.
Simms spent the second half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan with the Seasiders, where he scored 10 goals in 24 appearances to help Neil Critchley's side to promotion to the Championship from League One.
The 21-year-old, who signed a new deal with the club back in November, was then handed his Premier League debut by Rafa Benitez in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last month.
The forward, who joined the Blues aged 16 having previously spent time at Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers, will spend the rest of the season with the Scottish side.
Simms made his debut against Celtic off the bench last week before scoring his first goal for his new club against Motherwell at the weekend.
Lewis Warrington
Everton youngster Warrington completed a loan move to Tranmere Rovers on transfer deadline day.
The midfielder has made himself a regular fixture in David Unsworth's under-23s side over the course of the term so far with a number of impressive performances.
The 19-year-old has particularly shown a lot of promise sitting in the base of a midfield three over recent weeks and months.
Warrington joined Everton aged six and has made 13 appearances in Premier League 2 across 2021/22.
