Respected statistics and analysis website FiveThirtyEight has forecast the final standings in the Premier League this season, based on a complex model which takes into account a host of factors. They have crunched their numbers and have predicted that Everton will narrowly avoid being relegated to the Championship.
According to their prediction, Everton will finish level on points with Bournemouth and Leicester City - but may avoid the drop on goal difference. The other two teams tipped to be relegated are Nottingham Forest and Southampton.
The prediction says that Everton will finish with 36 points this season, meaning that they are tipped to only acquire nine more across their final nine league fixtures. Forest and Southampton are predicted to finish with 34 and 32 points respectively.
The model projects a very close run relegation battle, but seemingly has the Cherries set for the drop.
It has been predicted that Everton will finish the season with a -24 goal difference, while Bournemouth have a -35 prediction. Leicester are also tipped to finish on 36 points in 16th place, with a goal difference of -13.
The prediction has also given Everton a 37% chance of being relegated this season, which is better than three other clubs' chances. Southampton (77%), Nottingham Forest (65%) and Bournemouth (42%) are all more likely to drop to the Championship.
Dyche has been in charge for nine games so far - picking up 12 points. While there are some tricky fixtures to come, him and his Everton side will surely be aiming for more than nine points during their final run-in.
