Everton festive fixture changes confirmed by the Premier League

Two of Everton's Premier League fixtures over the festive period will be shown on Amazon Prime, the Premier League has confirmed.

The Blues' Boxing Day clash against currently managerless Wolverhampton Wanderers has been selected for broadcast. However, the kick-off time remains unaffected and it will remain a 3pm start on Monday, December 26.

Bizarrely, Everton's visit to the Etihad to face champions Manchester City between Christmas and New Year will not be shown on UK television. The match has not been selected for kick-off and will remain a 3pm start on Saturday, December 31.

The following week, Frank Lampard's side will be on Amazon - who extended their rights with the Premier League until 2025 just last year - once more. But unlike the Wolves game, January's clash with Brighton and Hove Albion will be pushed back bby 24 hours and now kick-off at 8pm on Tuesday, January 3.

The visits of Wolves and Brighton will be the Blues' first two home games after the 2022 Qatar World Cup, with Premier League action halting for a six-week period between November 12 and December 26.

It means that Lampard's side, who recorded their first victory in three league games against Crystal Palace on Saturday, are only in action three more times before jetting off to their winter training camp in Australia.
