Some Everton fans have been asking if Roy Keane is the right man to replace Rafa Benitez as the club's manager.
The Spaniard was sacked following Everton's 2-1 loss to Norwich on Saturday, with the Toffees now just six points off the relegation zone.
Keane was critical of Everton's dressing room after Saturday's game, but did say that Republic of Ireland defender and club captain Seamus Coleman is "a really good guy".
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said: "It doesn't look like a good dressing room there.
"They've got some decent players, who only turn up every now and again. Which is no good to a big club like Everton. Obviously Rafa Benitez ultimately will pay the price...but I get the impression there's something amiss at that football club, whether it be the culture or lack of characters or lack of leaders at the club.
"I know Seamus Coleman he's a really good guy, but I get the impression it's not a good dressing room there."
Some Everton fans took to social media to question if Keane would be a success as Everton manager.
One said: "Been watching a lot of Roy Keane on YouTube recently. Used to hate him because he played for Man U but loving his honesty, his desire to win, & his knowledge. Would he not be the type of manager that could work at Everton ? Give the players a scare, make them passionate etc?"
Another tweeted: "Does anybody think Roy Keane would come to Everton, he keeps saying he wants to be back in management, am not saying he's the best fit, I would just like to hear him be honest about the club and the shower of s**** players we have."
The bookies have Keane priced at 100/1 to take over the reigns at Goodison Park and it seems extremely unlikely that he'll be the next Everton manager.
Roberto Martinez has emerged as the favourite to become the next manager at the club, after the Toffees opened talks with the Belgian FA.
The Blues have turned to their former boss, as they looked for an experienced coach who understands the philosophy of the club.
Martinez has indicated that he would like the challenge of resurrecting the Blues and keeping them in the Premier League, after a dramatic slump that has plunged them into relegation trouble.
But he will not walk out on Belgium after steering them into the position as the number one in the world and favourites to win the World Cup, which takes place in Qatar at the end of this year.
Talks with the Belgium governing body proceeded deep into Sunday night, for a manager who was actually favourite to take the Goodison job in the summer, until owner Farhad Moshiri dramatically decided to appoint Benitez.
