The start of the January transfer window has so far been a frustrating one for Everton supporters.
Frank Lampard has been vocal about his side’s need for reinforcements ever since the Premier League paused for the World Cup. The Blues are in desperate need of attacking options as they aim to move out of the relegation zone.
The ECHO reported recently that work is ongoing behind-the-scenes, with Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga among what is said to be a detailed list of targets.

As well as Elanga, the Blues have also been linked with a host of other names as Lampard looks to secure the 'help' he has previously admitted his squad needs. Mohammed Kudus was one name recently linked with Everton after they failed to secure his services in the summer.
Forwards Ismaila Sarr, Ben Brereton Diaz, Danny Ings and Viktor Gyokeres have all been linked with Everton in recent weeks. But despite the speculation, no new faces are yet to arrive at the club.
Yet one man who could make the move to Merseyside is Arnaut Danjuma. Speaking on Wednesday, Villarreal chief executive Roig Negueroles revealed that although his club are yet to receive an offer for the attacker, Everton have expressed an interest in signing the Dutchman.
“Right now, we don’t have a formal offer, it’s true that there are rumours, there is interest, but I think the market is starting to move now and we’ll see how it evolves,” he told Spanish publication AS.
"I don’t know what will happen in the next few weeks. No player has asked me to leave the club, I think everyone is comfortable here."
