Everton 'face competition' for Maxwel Cornet as Adnan Januzaj transfer claim made

Everton's pre-season continues this week as they prepare to face Minnesota in a friendly in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The Blues have already faced Arsenal while out in the United States and they fell to a 2-0 defeat on Sunday. Back on Merseyside, work is ongoing to bolster the squad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

With James Tarkowski the only newcomer through the door so far, rumours are dominating the headlines as their summer plans start to take shape. So here's a round-up of all the latest Everton transfer gossip from around the globe.

Daily Mail.

What?

Fulham are the latest club to make their move for Burnley's Maxwel Cornet, according to reports this week.

The Daily Mail claims the Blues will have to battle it out with the Cottagers if they're to land the Ivorian's signature this summer. Everton have reportedly already had a loan offer rejected by Burnley over the weekend, opening the door for Marco Silva's side.

The report adds Cornet 'turned down' the idea of moving to Nottingham Forest, while Newcastle United have also been linked this summer.

Who?

Adnan Januzaj.

Where?

AS.

What?

Everton are 'ready' to compete with West Ham for former Real Sociedad winger Adnan Januzaj, according to reports in Spain.

AS claims the 27-year-old is a potential target for Frank Lampard, as well as Hammers boss David Moyes. Januzaj is reportedly 'close' to making a decision on his future amid interest from England.

The Belgium international is available on a free transfer this summer following the expiration of his contract with Sociedad. He spent five years with the La Liga club, having initially joined them from Premier League rivals Manchester United back in 2017.

Who?

Layvin Kurzawa.

Where?

Media Foot.

What?

Everton have been 'offered' Paris Saint-Germain outcast Layvin Kurzawa, if reports in France are anything to go by.

Outlet Media Foot claims the left back has 'no future' in Paris and has recently hired a new agent to help him secure a move away from the Ligue 1 club. The report suggests Leeds United are weighing up a move, while Everton have also been 'offered' the chance to sign up.

The 29-year-old has spent seven years at PSG after he initially joined in 2015 from Monaco. He's made 152 appearances in that time, scored 14 goals and registered 22 assists in all competitions.
