Amadou Onana has pulled out of the Belgium squad for their upcoming international fixtures due to injury.
Everton confirmed on Wednesday that the midfielder has a 'minor groin injury' and as a result he will not feature against Austria and Estonia on June 17 and 20 respectively. Onana will instead return to Finch Farm and be treated by club staff.
The Toffees also expect Onana will be ready for the start of pre-season under Sean Dyche this summer.
The Belgian joined Everton from Lille ahead of the previous campaign and established himself as a first-team regular under both Frank Lampard and then his successor Dyche.

Still only 21 years old, Onana showcased glimpses of huge potential and spells of inconsistency in his first year at Goodison Park. At times he was a major fan favourite, frequently rallying the supporters both home and away.
Despite Everton's problems - they only preserved their status as a Premier League side on the final day of the season with a win over Bournemouth - Onana has been linked with a number of clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, including the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United.
An Everton statement tonight confirmed: "Amadou Onana will not feature for Belgium in upcoming internationals due to a minor groin injury.
"The Everton midfielder was bidding to play in the Red Devils' home match against Austria on Saturday 17 June and trip to Estonia three days later on Tuesday 20 June.
"However, Onana is unavailable because of the issue and will return to Finch Farm to be treated by Club medical staff, where he is expected to be fit for the start of Everton’s pre-season training next month."
