Everton confirm 32-man squad as players fly out for USA tour

Everton's squad for their pre-season tour of the United States has been announced in full.

Frank Lampard's side are flying out to North America on Monday to continue their preparations for the 2022/23 Premier League season, having been hard at work at Finch Farm for a week. The manager has been running the rule over his players, making sure their condition is improving ahead of the first summer match against Arsenal at the weekend.

The Blues take on the Gunners in Baltimore on Saturday, before travelling to Minneapolis to face Minnesota United On July 21st. A number of fan events are also planned during the trip as Everton travel to the country for the second time in as many years.

And the club have now released their full squad for the tour in the United States, with a number of youngsters being given potential chances to impress. Billy Crellin, Zan-Luk Leban, Stanley Mills, Isaac Price, Lewis Warrington and Reece Welch are all on the plane on Monday with their eyes on potential involvement and senior minutes in the coming weeks.

Having signed a new contract with the Blues, Andy Lonergan misses out on the trip, however. There's also no place for Tyler Onyango and Jarrad Branthwaite as part of the 32-man travelling party - while Andros Townsend will continue his rehab from a serious knee injury by travelling to North America with his team-mates.

International players have now returned to training ahead of what will be a crucial season for the Blues and have been included in the list of players heading out on the pre-season tour. James Tarkowski, who confirmed his arrival as an Everton player at the beginning of the month, is also involved.
