Bristol City's progress in the transfer market has slowed after a flying start, with most pieces of the puzzle in place for Nigel Pearson. But for their Championship rivals, the deals keep coming.
Beaten play-off finalists Huddersfield Town announced the acquisition of Jack Rudoni from AFC Wimbledon on Friday for a fee that is believed to total £1million including add-ons. City were understood to be interested in move for the attacking midfielder, but never made a bid for the 21-year-old.
Elsewhere, there are plenty of other deals in the offing. Here is a roundup of the latest transfer news from across the Championship.
Everton chasing deal for Burnley star
Burnley have already lost one key player to Everton in defender James Tarkowski and another man could be following him out of the Turf Moor exit after the Clarets' relegation.
The Athletic reports the Toffees are in talks with Burnley over a deal for Maxwel Cornet. The Ivory Coast international scored nine goals in 26 appearances for Burnley last season and he is set to stay in the Premier League.
Other Premier League clubs are also interested in the 25-year-old, according to the report, but Merseyside is the likeliest destination.
Burnley's squad is undergoing a near-complete overhaul ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign under new boss Vincent Kompany, with Nick Pope and Nathan Collins also sold to the top flight for big money.
West Brom hope for Turkish international's return
Turkey international Okay Yokuşlu had a solid loan spell with West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League in 2021, and the Baggies have reportedly sealed a deal for the midfielder to return on a permanent deal.
Football Insider reports West Brom have finalised an agreement with the 28-year-old, who will move to The Hawthorns as a free agent after he was released by Celta Vigo.
Yokuşlu has 39 Turkey caps and spent the second half of last season out on loan at Getafe, but it appears he is heading back to the English game and will add to his 16 West Brom appearances.
Blackpool planning second bid
Blackpool were unsuccessful with a first bid for Shamrock Rovers prospect Andy Lyons, but the Tangerines are set to return with a fresh offer for the full-back.
The 21-year-old was the subject of an initial unsuccessful bid of £100,000, according to Lancs Live, and our sister title reports Blackpool are determined to strike a deal with the Irish club.
Head coach Michael Appleton is short of right-back cover due to an injury for star defender Jordan Gabriel and Lyons is the man he wants to bolster his ranks.
Grabban available
Championship clubs will be on alert after Nottingham Forest announced the departure of Lewis Grabban on Friday.
The 34-year-old striker has scored 168 goals over his career, with the majority of those coming in the Championship. In his four-year stay with Forest, Grabban scored 54f foals in 144 appearances including 12 last season as Steve Cooper's side won promotion to the Premier League.
The former Aston Villa, Sunderland and Bournemouth striker is sure to be an attractive free agent prospect for second-tier clubs searching for a proven goalscorer this summer.
