Everton Carabao Cup draw details: Time, TV details, fixture dates

Everton will learn of their opponents for their first Carabao Cup game this evening (Wednesday, August 10).

The draw for round two of the competition will take place following the conclusion of tonight’s games, with the Toffees joining the other 12 Premier League clubs that aren’t in Europe - including Leeds United, Leicester and Newcastle - and a host of sides throughout the Football League.

Tuesday’s first round of games saw multiple Championship sides dumped out at the first time of asking at the hands of lower-league sides. Most notably, Blackpool and Hull City losing to Barrow and Bradford City respectively.

There are seven fixtures remaining for round one - including Sheffield Wednesday vs Sunderland - and all will be completed this evening prior to the draw for round two. Here is everything you need to know about the draw.

When is the draw for the Carabao Cup?

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cpu will take place on Wednesday, August 10 (tonight) after the conclusion of Sheffield Wednesday vs Sunderland, which kicks off at 7:45pm.

How can I watch the Carabao Cup draw?

Sunderland’s trip to Hillsborough will be live on Sky Sports, and presenter Mark Chapman will lead the draw live on air after the final whistle alongside Clinton Morrison and Michael Gray.

Who will be in the draw for the Carabao Cup?

Everton join the competition at the second round alongside the other 12 top-flight sides that are not in Europe - everyone except the top seven from last season. The three teams that were relegated last year - Norwich, Burnley and Watford - will also join the competition at this point.

That makes 15 new entrants to go into the pot alongside the 35 winners from the first round.

When will the games be played?

The fixtures for the second round of the Carabao Cup will take place during the week beginning August 22.
