Everton announce new shirt sleeve sponsor for 2022/23 season as BOXT agree deal

Everton have announced a deal with BOXT to become the club's shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2022/23 season.

The ECHO understands the deal represents a significant uplift on the figures involved in the club's previous agreement with Angry Birds, which came to an end in 2020 - although an exact amount for the agreement has not been provided. The distinctive 'BOXT Life' logo will appear on the sleeves of Everton's Men's, Women's and under-21 teams from the start of the current campaign.

The logo will also feature across the club's digital spaces, at Goodison Park and at the Finch Farm training complex. It's understood that BOXT fought off tough competition from other interested companies for the agreement, and that both parties will review the terms of the deal next summer ahead of potentially agreeing any extension.

BOXT is a multi-award-winning technology platform which allows customers to choose and buy a suitable home heating package at a fixed price on their mobile or laptop. The multi-award-winning e-commerce and fulfilment platform is regarded as a leader in the UK heating market.

Andy Kerr, BOXT CEO and Founder, said: ‘We’re really looking forward to partnering with a football club of Everton's global renown and taking our place on the club's iconic royal blue and alternative shirts.

“Everton is a widely respected club with strong community values and we’re keen to engage with their fans as we work to bring BOXT to life across the country. BOXT was created to bring transparent, fixed and fair pricing for home heating and home installation products and with the current energy crisis we see the need for this, now more than ever.”

Specialising in the installation, repair and servicing of boilers, air conditioning, electric vehicle charging points and smart home products, BOXT has completely disrupted the long-established and traditional home heating industry. Homeowners can use BOXT’s technology platform to choose and buy a suitable home heating package via their mobile phone or laptop, at a fixed and fair price, without the need for an initial site visit.

Previous partnerships for the company have included Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Glasgow Rangers - with the agreement with Everton extending their roster in the UK. The club and their new partner are working with Fanatics to ensure the sleeve patch is available to supporters going forward, with further information to be provided in due course.

Richard Kenyon, Everton’s Chief Commercial and Communications Officer, said: "We are delighted to welcome BOXT as our new sleeve partner. BOXT is an impressive and ambitious business and we’re really pleased that they’ve chosen to partner with us to help accelerate their exciting growth plans.

“I’d like to thank our partnerships team and the team at BOXT for the work they have put in to reach this agreement - and I look forward to seeing the BOXT Life branding on our famous royal blue jerseys this weekend."
