Everton and Liverpool will get a financial boost with the Premier League set to agree a deal with EA Sports worth double the value of what it was previously.
According Sky the Premier League are on the verge of agreeing a six-year, £488m deal with EA Sports, makers of the hugely popular FIFA computer games, in relation to its image rights.
EA Sports and FIFA are to end their association that goes back 30 years, with the series to be renamed as EA Sports FC from September after FIFA had demanded more than £250m per year for the right to use its name and associated competitions.

The Premier League has had an official partnership with EA Sports that dates back to 1998 and the new deal, which will run until the 2030/31 season, will see the names and likenesses of teams and players to continue to be used in the game.
In recent seasons EA unable to agree licences with some major Italian teams such as Juventus, Roma and Lazio after they signed licensing deals with rival game, eFootball, produced by Konami.
The Times report that the deal was signed off by the clubs at a shareholders’ meeting in London on Friday.
The deal would be worth around £80m annually to the Premier League, with much of that commercial uplift to be reflected in greater commercial revenue distribution through the 20 member clubs, who currently receive an equal share.
Sky report that the club executives have been further emboldened to reject the fresh approach of the European Super League from the company behind it, A22, in the last seven days, with the latest commercial deal struck by the Premier League reaffirming the position of the competition as the world leader that holds enormous value proposition for blue chip companies globally.
