Everton have claimed £11million in Premier League prize money following their 16th-place finish.
The Blues headed to the capital for their final game of the season against Arsenal safe in the knowledge that their top-flight status was already secured after Thursday’s dramatic comeback victory over Crystal Palace.
Despite trailing 2-0 at half-time, Frank Lampard’s side produced a famous Goodison Park comeback to claim all three points. Goals from Michael Keane, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were enough to fire the Blues to safety.

A win at the Emirates - coupled with other results going their way - could have seen Everton finish in 15th. However, the Blues were second best against Mikel Arteta’s side and were beaten 5-1.
As a result of the defeat, Everton collected £11million in prize money. Finishing a place higher would have seen the Blues bag £13.2million.
Half of the TV jackpot is split evenly between the clubs, which gave each around £84m ($104m) during the 2020/21 Premier League season. A quarter is used as prize money — officially called merit payments — and a quarter is divided up according to various factors, including how often clubs have appeared in televised games.
