Plenty of Manchester City fans were impressed with what they saw from Erling Haaland on his English debut as they faced Liverpool in the Community Shield.
Although he was kept quiet for large parts of the game and failed to get on the score sheet, he showed flashes of quality. And whilst he failed to convert two first-half chances before missing a sitter at the end of the game, he did give Liverpool star centre-back Virgil van Dijk plenty to think about with his off-the-ball movement.
In one incident, his movement allowed him to drift away from the Dutch defender to get on the end of a cross from Jack Grealish, but he failed to convert.
