Evel Knievel Would Never Jump These Limited Edition Triumph Rocket 3 Motorcycles

Depending on how old you are, your motorcycling stunt heroes might be today’s icons like Pol Tarres or Rok Bagoros. However, if you’re a bit (fine, a lot) older, Evel Knievel was undoubtedly the motorcycle stuntman. Knievel was known for his death-defying stunts aboard machines that quite frankly, had no business flying through the air.

Perhaps this whole idea of defying the laws of physics was one of the many things that made Knievel’s stunts so spectacular.

But let’s say that Evel Knievel was a citizen of today’s modern world. What motorcycle would he ride to achieve all those insane stunts? Surely, it would have to be a bike that was designed to take flight—perhaps a lightweight, high-power, 450cc two-stroke MX machine. Or maybe a capable adventure-enduro bike like a Yamaha Tenere 700 a la Pol Tarres.

Whatever the case may be, he most certainly would not ride a Triumph Rocket 3, let alone jump it across a pit full of crocodiles and rattlesnakes, as cool as it may seem. This is probably all for the better, as it most likely would’ve ended in disaster.

But hey, Knievel’s legacy is already so iconic, and what better way to pay tribute to it than with not one, but two special-edition Triumph Rocket 3s decked out in liveries inspired by the legendary stuntman?

Evel Knievel has been associated with Triumph Motorcycles many times throughout his illustrious career. And for the modern era, Triumph has decided to pay homage to Knievel with two new Limited Edition Rocket 3 bikes.

Both designs take inspiration from Knievel’s iconic white jumpsuit, and are adorned with his iconic stars and stripes graphics. The bikes also get full chrome fuel tanks, which I imagine would be a pain in the ass to keep clean, but nonetheless are super eye-catching.

And to make sure that you can’t replicate these special editions with any old Triumph Rocket 3, the Limited Edition models feature a unique start-up screen animation letting you know that they’re legit Evel Knievel Limited Edition models. Oh, there’s also a gold cam cover plate laser-etched with the Evel Knievel signature logo. Each owner will also receive a hardback book telling the story of Evel Knievel and the many Triumphs he used, battered, jumped, and smashed throughout his career.

So yeah, in case you felt that a 2,500cc, three-cylinder engine-equipped motorcycle with 180 horsepower wasn’t eye-catching enough, well, these Evel Knievel Limited Editions will certainly do the trick. They’re expected to make their way to dealerships from March 2025.

As for pricing, the Rocket 3 R Evel Knievel Limited Edition will carry an MSRP of £25,495, or about $31,921 USD. Meanwhile, the Rocket 3 GT Evel Knievel Limited Edition will set you back £26,195, or a rather hefty $32,798 USD.
