Olympic Bronze Medallist, Eve Muirhead, officially opened Kilmarnock’s new Aldi store last week.
The Team GB curler unveiled the store to the public alongside store manager Elaine McPhail.
The new shop West Netherton Street has created 25 jobs at the supermarket.

And as part of the opening Ms Muirhead gave away complimentary bags of fresh fruit and vegetables from Aldi’s Super 6 range to the first 30 customers in the queue.
The new store will offer, large chillers and freezers, dedicated to fresh, Scottish products, a ‘Food to Go’ selection at the front of the store, a new fixture along the back wall, showcasing Aldi’s beers, wines and spirits, and a section of health and beauty products.
Store manager, Elaine McPhail, said: “It’s been a fantastic morning here at our grand opening.

Customers visiting the store can take advantage of Aldi’s famous specialbuys, which are available every Thursday and Sunday.

The new store will be open from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 10pm and on Sunday between 9am and 8pm.
