Nottingham Forest made major headlines in the summer as they spent £150m to bring 23 new players to the City Ground.
They are now on the eve of the January transfer window with the Premier League set to go on hiatus after this weekend until Christmas because of the World Cup in Qatar.
That means Forest can look to strengthen a squad which is bottom of the table with one game to go before the break. We discuss what should happen on the latest Garibaldi Red podcast as host Matt Davies was joined by Forza Garibaldi's Greg Mitchell and broadcaster Darren Fletcher. You can read part of what the broadcaster had to say below or listen to the full episode here..

GM: "We're well in the mix. The worst thing we can do - and going on our recruitment form this may happen - is sign six or seven players in January.
"We need two or three. If we are going to spend, spend big money on two or three, rather than flood the squad with six or seven more. We've got the Brazilian guy (Gustavo Scarpa) coming in and when you read about him, he's one to get excited about.
"I do feel that of the bottom six or seven teams, we'll be the most ambitious in the transfer window and selling clubs will know that so we've got to be astute and careful with how we sign players."
DF: "I'm fascinated by who leaves. They can't just add, they have to subtract. Do they look at a couple who are in the team and think we might have to sacrifice them? The owner can't keep putting his hand in his pocket without getting anything back.
"The strategy now has to be about quality. There's depth in the squad now, so what they need are players who can make a difference to the XI. I don't think the owner will have a problem making significant additions and those players can be found.
"They've got a sporting director and a manager who know what they need. In the summer, it was about depth and numbers, about taking a chance to an extent.
"Steve and his staff spend hours analysing everything so they'll know exactly what they need. They went into the summer a bit blind, but they go into this one know knowing what is needed.
"A bit of addition by subtraction might help, getting rid of one or two where it hasn't worked out. It's a fascinating opportunity in a strange season. A lot of teams won't be the same after the World Cup."
GM: "Financial Fair Play means we have to be clever. We have to think about if we are staying in the league and even worse, if we don't. If we have to offload some players, for example Lingard if he gets an opportunity at Christmas then who knows."
DF: "Niakhate will be like a new player. Omar Richards is another. If you sign three players and get those two back from injury it's a significant month.
"Orel Mangala hasn't really been fit since injury so there are players coming back, which is significant. Niakhate looks like he could be a really good centre-back - he could make a difference."
