Evangelos Marinakis sent Nottingham Forest plea after 'brutal' manager sacking

Nottingham Forest fans have sent owner Evangelos Marinakis a message following the sacking of Olympiacos manager Carlos Corberan, after just six weeks in charge.

Marinakis, also owner of the Greek club, has parted ways with the former Huddersfield Town boss.

The decision was announced after their 2-1 defeat to Aris on Sunday. A statement released by the Greek outfit, read: "Olympiakos announces the termination of Carlos Corberan's contract."

Given the short time the 39-year-old lasted in charge, fans fear the same could happen to Forest boss Steve Cooper following their start to the Premier League season. Forest are currently in 19th place after five defeats, a draw and a win.

Here is what the Reds faithful have had to say...

Osh Jones: "Yes. Brutal. I just hope Mr Marianakis allows Cooper more time to rectify things than he has with Corberan at Oly. But make no mistake about it this man demands success at his football clubs."

KateSfb: "Does this mean Mr M now has his manager-sacking out of his system? Or is he just getting started?"

Rob Stewart: "Carlos Corberan’s sacking suggests it’s only a matter of time before Steve Cooper gets sacked and Sean Dyche comes to the rescue."

Kyle Funnell: "Already? Doesn't look good for Cooper then."

John Watson: "After 6 weeks? Even by Marinakis standards that's nuts."

ForestFan: "The Big Greek is crazy!"

Capernosity: "Eek. Operating at a much higher level of expectation though #nffc."

NathanNFFC: "What can you do in 6 weeks.."

Skipper NFFC: "Warning klaxon #nffc."
