Olympiacos have reportedly appointed Antonio Cordon as their new sporting director with the Spaniard set to also advise Evangelos Marinakis on Nottingham Forest, it is claimed.
The 59-year-old previously worked at Villarreal and made a number of notable signings including Diego Forlan and Juan Riquelme which helped the La Liga club reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in the 2005/06 season.
He was also sporting director at Monaco in 2016 and is said to have helped to unearth World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe. A year later the French superstar would join Paris St-Germain in a world record €180 million deal.

More recently Cordon worked at Real Betis before stepping down in February having headed the Seville club’s transfer activity since the summer of 2020. They currently sit sixth in the Spanish top-flight.
And now Marca report that Marinkas owned Olympiacos have appointed the Spaniard as their new sporting director. It is claimed that he will also advise the Forest owner on the Reds but that his main focus will be with the Greek club.
Marinakis has been the owner of Forest since 2017 and oversaw the club's return to the Premier League last year for the first time in 23 years. Steve Cooper's side will be playing their second successive campaign in the top-flight when the new season begins after avoiding relegation in 2022/23.
