Police last night released new images in a bid to help trace a man who has gone missing in Paisley.
Evan Reid from Irvine, North Ayrshire, was last seen in the Inchinnan Road area around 10.06pm on Saturday, March, 25.
The 31-year-old was taking the train home on Saturday night when he appeared agitated and disembarked at Gilmour Street station around 9.40pm.
But he has not made contact with his friends or family since. He was later spotted on CCTV in Love Street and Inchinnan Road, with police issuing CCTV of Evan as he left the train.
At the same time, around 6.30pm, there was a large police presence on Inchinnan Road, with a number of officers seen scouring the area near to the Old Landmark building.
Inspector Paul Connelly of Police Scotland said: “As time passes concerns are growing for Evan and we are keen to trace him as soon as possible.
“Our enquiries to trace Evan are ongoing and we are appealing for the help of members of the public. I am appealing to anyone who has seen Evan or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.
“I would also appeal to any drivers who were in the area of Inchinnan Road on Saturday night and who may have dashcam footage which could assist to get in touch. No amount of information is too small.”
Evan’s partner Nicole Murray told the Paisley Daily Express that she was “worried beyond belief”.
Explaining it was completely out of character for Evan not to keep in touch, she said he had been out with friends in Glasgow but was not believed to be particularly drunk.
She said: “Obviously we don’t know what kind of state he is in but this is not like him at all. He has no mental health issues, we just don’t know what’s happened.
“We are worried beyond belief and shocked. I am just trying to hold it together.”
Evan is described as being around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. When last seen, he was wearing a khaki green jumper, a black body warmer, dark blue jeans and grey trainers.
