Evan Rachel Wood has expressed her gratitude for the work law enforcement officials did investigating Marilyn Manson

Evan Rachel Wood has expressed her gratitude for the work law enforcement officials did investigating Marilyn Manson.

Her tribute comes after a decision not to pursue criminal charges against the shock rocker, 56, after he escaped criminal charges following a four-year investigation into allegations he was an abuser.

‘Thirteen’ star Evan 37, who has long been one of the performer’s most vocal accusers, also thanked the survivors who, like her, came forward with their allegations in the wake of the decision not to charge the musician.

She said in a statement via a private Instagram account, revealed by Page Six: “I am grateful for the work law enforcement has done, and I am endlessly proud of all the survivors who risked everything to protect others by speaking the truth.”

Marilyn born Brian Warner, escaped criminal charges after Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan J Hochman stated the investigation, while comprehensive, could not establish the claims of sexual assault against the singer “beyond a reasonable doubt”.

Domestic violence accusations against the performer were also ruled to have fallen “outside of the statute of limitations”.

Evan, who dated Manson from 2007 to 2010, had previously alleged the musician had “groomed and abused” her.

In 2021, the actress accused him of manipulation and brainwashing, adding: “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him.”

Evan is not the only woman who has accused Marilyn of abuse – but he has strong denied all allegations against him.

His lawyer, Howard King, stated on Friday when it was announced the musician was not being charged over the accusations: “We are very pleased that, after a thorough and incredibly lengthy review of all of the actual evidence, the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start – Brian Warner is innocent.”
