The latest Evan Ferguson transfer news has revealed that Nottingham Forest are pursuing a permanent deal for the Brighton & Hove Albion star.
Ferguson is tipped for a hugely successful future after bursting onto the scene at the Amex Stadium in 2022. As it stands, the Ireland international has 17 goals for the Seagulls across 75 appearances in all competitions.
However, the 20-year-old has found game time hard to come by under new boss Fabian Hurzeler this season. So far, Ferguson has just 116 minutes and one goal to his name in the Premier League.
Reports suggest a number of English top-flight sides are monitoring Ferguson’s situation. In November, the south coast club revealed that they would be willing to let the forward leave on a loan deal next month.

However, the lack of minutes and the resurgence of Danny Welbeck has limited Ferguson’s chances. Joao Pedro is arguably Brighton’s star forward and Georginio Rutter joined for big money in the summer.

As per the Football Insider, Nottingham Forest are ready to test Brighton’s resolve with a mid-season bid. However, it is highly unlikely the Seagulls will enter into negotiations for a permanent sale.

Forest could be an attractive option from Ferguson’s perspective. If a loan deal instead of permanent can be manufactured between the clubs.
