Evan Ferguson emphatically shut down a question asking if he would switch allegiance to England when asked by a Sky Sports reporter.
The Brighton forward has already lined out four times for Ireland but has won so many admirers fans in the UK still think he can make a switch to England.
But the 18-year-old shut down the question asked by Melissa Reddy regarding whether he would consider a switch.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Obviously, my Mam's English, so that's where it probably comes in
"I've seen a few saying 'Oh, will he? Will he?' I can tell you now, it's a no."
And Reddy joked that Ferguson's father Barry wouldn't let it happen and he joked: "I wouldn't be allowed back!"
It has been a remarkable season for Ferguson, who broke into the Brighton first team this year and bagged six Premier League goals.
The Meath man scored 10 goals in total, including twice at the weekend against Southampton.
