Evan Ferguson praised for 'beautiful' goal as he puts Brighton ahead

It took Evan Ferguson less than half an hour to get on the scoresheet for Brighton this evening.

The Irish teenager, making his 12th Premier League appearance of the season, was on hand to flick home Kaoru Mitoma's cross to put Brighton into the lead after 27 minutes at Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.

That flick brings Ferguson's Premier League tally to four for the season in what is shaping up to be a breakout campaign for the Bettystown youngster.

The manner of the goal has impressed many, who have taken to social media to heap praise upon the youngster.

"Serious talent on our hands for Ireland," wrote one user.

"What a player," said another user.

While another wrote, "Evan Ferguson really is a special talent, thankfully he is Irish."

Even Irish legend Kevin Kilbane was impressed and said "Beautiful finish by Evan Ferguson!"

The goal comes less than two weeks after Ferguson scored his first goal for Ireland in the 3-2 win over Latvia at the Aviva Stadium.
