California Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced that mandatory evacuation orders have been lifted for the Hurst, Kenneth, Lidia, and Sunset Fires. However, evacuation orders remain in place for the Palisades and Eaton Fires.
According to Cal Fire, the Eaton Fire is currently 27% contained, while the Palisades Fire is at 13% containment. The Hurst Fire has reached 89% containment, and the other fires have been fully contained.
Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone stated that if weather conditions and fire behavior allow, authorities plan to start repopulating evacuation zones and allowing residents to return to their communities starting Thursday.
It is crucial for residents to stay informed and follow any instructions given by emergency officials to ensure their safety and the safety of their communities. As containment efforts continue and evacuation orders are lifted, it is important to remain vigilant and prepared for any changes in the situation.
We extend our gratitude to the firefighters, first responders, and all those involved in battling these wildfires and protecting the affected areas. Their dedication and hard work are instrumental in managing and containing these fires.
