The Eurovision Song Contest grand final kicked off tonight in Liverpool. The UK is hosting the contest after coming second place to Ukraine last year.
The show is being hosted by Alesha Dixon, Hannah Waddingham and Ukraine's Julia Sanina. The trio were joined at the show's opening by long-term commentator Graham Norton.
With Eurovision returning to the UK for the first time since 1998, it was already a contest to remember. But then the hosts made another announcement concerning the return of a national to the competition.
As the hosts looked at the table of the top winning nations, Graham announced that Luxembourg had asked to rejoin Eurovision.
Luxembourg last performed in Eurovision three decades ago in 1993. But despite its absence, the country has a long history of winning The Eurovision Song Contest.
Luxembourg has won Eurovision five times in total, making it one of the biggest winners in the competition's history. Its record matches the UK's five wins. Ireland has the most wins with seven.
The country's return could mean that next year's competition is even fiercer.
