The Eurovision grand final is today and viewers have been stunned from the beginning by host, Laura Pausini's outfit. The Italian singer started hosting the show in a sparkly coat that was hard to miss!
Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the blazer. There were some mixed reactions to this.
One of the first English tweeters to share their thoughts on Laura’s hosting outfit choice as she walked out on Eurovision stage was @acarouselride who penned ‘someone switch off Laura Pausini’s jacket, please. We’re going to end the show with epilepsy! #Eurovision’. However, at the same time, @BigWatchLover wrote ‘Love Laura Pausini’s sparkly jacket! #Eurovision @bbceurovision’.

Gaining some inspiration from Laura Pausini, however, was @lawson_sv who wrote ‘I want to cover an armchair with Laura Pausini’s jacket as an alternative Xmas tree #Eurovision’, whilst @koalatovmoktail loved it so much that they tweeted ‘I'm voting for Laura Pausini’s jacket #eurovision #Eurovision2022’
One Twitter user, in particular, felt like Pausini’s outfit brought back nostalgic feelings as @tonibordallo wrote ‘Laura Pausini’s coat at #Eurovision seems those glitter gifs of #MySpace #glitter’.
Some viewers were seemingly genuinely interested in replicating Pausini’s outfit as @vivzilla wrote ‘good morning my #eurovision pals, have we worked out where one can buy a shiny coat like laura Pausini?’
As the night progressed, Laura changed into a purple dress, which was met with a more warm reaction by viewers. @cookiesftvbear wrote ‘okay but Laura Pausini's dress really says borahae #Eurovision’. Seemingly impressed by how often Laura changed outfits throughout the night, @BousfHearts wrote ‘Laura Pausini about to break the world record for most dresses worn in a single event at this rate #Eurovision’
Suggesting that Laura’s purple dress is perhaps more forward-thinking, @13M31 wrote ‘Laura Pausini's dress is in the year 3000 #Eurovision’
