Eurovision fans have been thrown into travel panic with the confirmation of a train strike for the day of the final of this year's contest in Liverpool.
There is now just over a week to go until the world famous event takes over Merseyside, with things getting going with the official welcome party on Sunday, May 7, which will feature performances from the likes of Atomic Kitten, Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst and The LIghtning Seeds and a reunion for 80s legends Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
The competition itself will get going on Tuesday, May 9 with the first of two Eurovision semi finals at the M&S Bank Arena, with the second following two days later.
A total of 20 countries will qualify from those, to join 'the big five' and last year's winners Ukraine in the final, which will be held in the arena on Saturday, May 13 as the eyes of the world fall on Liverpool.

There has been a ticket frenzy for this year's Eurovision but fans with tickets for the final could now be klacing facing a massive travel headache, as it has been announced that a train strike, across all the major networks, will take place on May 13.
Confirming the action on Thursday, RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: "...we have no alternative but to press ahead with more strike action and continue our campaign for a negotiated settlement on pay, conditions and job security.
"We are re-balloting our members and if we beat the draconian anti-trade union laws on turnout, we will have a renewed mandate for action.
"We will then put on a further programme of strike action to make the employers and the Government, who continue to hold the puppet strings, see sense in this dispute."
