Glasgow has been left gutted after it was announced that Liverpool will host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 on behalf of last year's winner Ukraine.
The city had been in the running along with Liverpool but missed out at the final hurdle.
Graham Norton made the massive announcement during a pre-recorded segment of BBC 's The One Show a short time ago.
After a shortlist of seven potential UK host cities were revealed in August, last week this list was whittled down further to a head-to-head battle between the two hopeful cities.
Glasgow's bid was submitted with the OVO Hydro as the proposed venue for the contest, meanwhile Liverpool opted for the M&S Bank Arena.

Scotland's biggest city was consistently the bookies' favourite to host. According to betting website OLBG, the probability of Glasgow hosting Eurovision was 66.7 per cent, while the probability of Liverpool hosting was 38.1 per cent.
A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council, said: “Naturally, we are disappointed not to have been selected, but we are very proud to have made it to the final two cities and we wish Liverpool every success as they prepare to host Eurovision 2023. Glasgow remains a firm supporter of Ukraine and we look forward to watching Liverpool deliver a celebration of Ukrainian culture.”
Culture Minister Neil Gray said: “Although we are disappointed Glasgow’s bid to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest was not successful, we wish Liverpool well with hosting next year’s event on behalf of Ukraine. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Glasgow City Council for all their work on this bid.”
“Scotland continues to stand with the rest of the UK, Europe and the world, in condemnation of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Since the conflict began, more than 20,000 people with a Scottish sponsor has arrived, representing 20% of all UK arrivals - the most per head of any of the four nations.”
Ukraine, who won the competition with 'Stefania' performed by the group Kalush Orchestra, were denied permission to host due to ongoing war and invasion of the country by Russia.
