UK's Eurovision Song Contest entrant, Mae Muller, revealed her son is about getting 'revenge' on her ex-boyfriend.
The north London-raised singer, 25, will be representing us on home soil during the event later this year.
Her Eurovision entry, I Wrote A Song, is about the 'crazy' things she wanted to do when someone she dated 'annoyed' her.
"After you go through a breakup, whether it’s a relationship or friendship, when you’ve been hurt it’s really easy to want revenge," she said during a chat with Scott Mills for Meet The Act on BBC One.
"I thought how can I take something negative and turn it into something positive that you want to sing and dance to. I haven’t performed it yet and I am so excited."
Mae added she will be focused on vocal training and choreography until the special event arrives in Liverpool.
Mae previously discussed the meaning behind her song on TikTok.
She said: "I was really annoyed at this guy. I wanted to do something crazy, maybe burn his house down, I don't know.
"But instead I took the high road and I wrote a song. And that's called growth, ladies and gentlemen."
The singer will be the first female entrant for the UK since SuRie competed in 2018 with Storm – coming in 24th place.
Like Sam Ryder, Mae is not new to the music industry, having released her debut single Close in 2018.
She has since been climbing the charts with the 2021 song Better Days after it went viral on TikTok.
The BBC hopes to repeat Sam Ryder's success at the 2022 event by once again joining with global management company TaP Music.
TaP Music, which had the likes of Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding as its clients, helped select Mae and will also help craft her promotional strategy ahead of the contest.
Last year, the company revamped the UK’s strategy after years of dismal results.
This included ensuring Ryder’s single, Space Man, got played on BBC Radio 1 instead of Radio 2 and also saw him targeting smaller countries such as San Marino, Serbia, Croatia and Malta, which have the same voting powers as larger countries such as Germany.
Speaking on following in Sam's footsteps, Mae said: "I just love Sam, he did the best job. I feel honoured that he is passing me the baton, and I think he showed us in a whole different light, he has done me a favour anyway!
"I want to do it in my own way, but I want to carry that on."
