Eurovision's Scott Mills 'not just saying it' as he issues Liverpool claim on Good Morning Britain

Eurovision's Scott Mills has heaped praise on the city of Liverpool.

The 50-year-old has travelled to Merseyside to commentate on the semi-finals of the song contest. The DJ appeared on today's edition of Good Morning Britain ahead of the second semi final at the M&S Bank Arena.

Scott has been wowed by how the city has embraced the song contest as he told Richard Arnold: "I'm not just saying this. In terms of what going on and how visible the contest is, this is the best host city ever.

"Even if you don't have tickets, it's been going on for a week or more. It's not just what's happening in the arena, Eurovision fever is everywhere."

Scott has been a part of 12 editions of Eurovision and also made the claim on yesterday's edition of BBC Morning Live as he read out a message he received on social media: "Eurovision is life now. I don't want it to end. People walking through Liverpool in full sequins and flags is so boss."

The BBC programme was hosted by Merseyside native Sam Quek who joked: "That's just a normal Tuesday afternoon in Liverpool. People walking around in sequins."
