Music fans will be gearing up for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 - one of the biggest music events on the planet. While the city wasn't selected as this year's host or as a city with an official watch party, Bristol's Eurovision fans won't be missing out on a slice of the action.
Hosted by South Glos Events, the competition will be shown live on a six-metre screen in Bristol and Bath Science Park. The location in Emersons Green is also hosting a screening of the King's Coronation Ceremony and concert on May 6 and 7 respectively.
Lovers of Eurovision will be able to see the UK try its chances to take the top spot this year with Sam Ryder losing out to Ukraine for first place in 2022. As Ukraine is unable to host the competition due to the ongoing Russian invasion, the UK was offered the opportunity to host in its honour.

Bristol And Bath Science Park will also be screening both semi-final events on May 9 and 11 promising to bring the electrifying atmosphere of the world's largest music competition.
General admission entry is completely free but you must book your slot in advance through Eventbrite. You can upgrade your seating to a picnic bench for £30 which seats up to six people.
Attendees are asked not to bring their own drinks on site where there is a fully stocked bar available. The event has partnered with Bristol Pride and a donation from table sales and its Pride cocktail will be made towards the organisation.
There will also be food stalls on site but you're permitted to bring your own snacks too.
