Eurovision song contest 2023: How to get tickets and date of Eurovision final at Liverpool arena

Liverpool will host Eurovision 2023, after it was confirmed the city had beaten runner-up contender, Glasgow.

The popular Eurovision Song Contest is an annual song-writing affair that sees primarily European competitors battle it out to be crowned the winner, usually with a dazzling array of eclectic and elaborate performances. This year, Ukraine was victorious.

Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), who organises the competition, have broken from tradition after ruling it would not be safe to hold next year's contest there. Liverpool beat off competitors including Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham to play host.
