According to forecasters at the Met Office, today will start cloudy changing to light rain by late morning. There is set to be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers.

It is predicted showers could be heavy and slow moving, carrying the risk of hail and thunder. Temperatures will reach highs of 16C. Tonight is set to be clear, with some light winds.

For Friday, the Met Office said: "Friday: Low cloud, mist and fog clearing to leave a drier day with some sunshine at times. Still the chance of an isolated light shower. A little breezy, but feeling warm. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

"Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Largely dry on Saturday with some sunny spells. Cloud slowly increasing on Sunday with rain perhaps arriving from the west later and into Monday. Feeling warm in any sunshine."
