Eurovision 2023: Liverpool hotels sell out as Eurovision host city confirmed

Liverpool has been confirmed as the host city for Eurovision 2023.

Viewers of BBC 's The One Show were told on Friday evening that Liverpool will welcome the huge international event next May. The news was revealed by Graham Norton.

Liverpool had been whittled down to the final two potential host cities along with Glasgow, beating off competition from the likes of Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham earlier in the process.

Within minutes of the host city announcement, many of Liverpool's hotels were fully booked over May 13. This include all of the city's Premier Inns and Travelodge hotels.

At the time of publication, some city centre rooms and apartments were available on Booking.com, with the cost of a one-night stay between £855 and £1,444.
