Marco Mengoni will be one of the 26 artists or bands taking to the Eurovision Song Contest stage on Saturday night (May 13) during the Grand Final of the biggest live music event in the world.
The Italian singer-songwriter is representing Italy at the 67th edition of Eurovision, which is being held in Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena on behalf of last year's winners Ukraine.
Italy's odds of winning the contest were 66/1 ahead of the show, according to Ladbrokes.

Marco shot to fame in 2009 when he won the Italian version of The X Factor, winning a €300,000 recording contract and being automatically selected as one of the participants to the Sanremo Music Festival 2010 before going on to win Best Italian Act and Best European Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards the same year,
And this is not Marco’s first time at the rodeo as in 2013, the 34-year-old finished seventh at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with his entry L’essenziale, before the song broke into pop charts across Europe.
Marco's enjoyed great success since then, having released seven studio albums that between them have gone 69-times platinum. Italy's choice of song for the competition, Due Vite (which translates as 'Two Lives'), has already reached number 1 in the Italian charts.
It is the lead single from his album, which is the third in a trilogy called Materia. And there is set to be no rest for Marco, as after the Eurovision Song Contest, he’ll be heading off to perform concerts in Italian stadiums, including a grand finale at the ancient Circus Maximus in Rome.
