The UK's song entry and artist have been announced for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
BBC Eurovision has revealed that Sam Ryder will be representing the United Kingdom at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with Space Man.
The announcement was made by Scott Mills on Radio One Breakfast with Greg James on Thursday, March 10 with Space Man having previously featured as Tune of the Week on Scott Mills' Afternoon Show on BBC Radio One.

Who is Sam Ryder?
Sam Ryder will be representing the UK at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.
The TikTok star, who has over 12 million followers on the platform, rose to fame covering hits with his extraordianry vocals in lockdown, catching the attention of Justin Bieber, Sia and Alicia Keys.
Sam Ryder co-wrote Space Man with Grammy winning Wales-based songwriter Amy Wadge and Max Wolfgang.
Sam told Eurovision.tv : "Having been a fan of Eurovision since I was a kid I am so honoured to have been presented with the opportunity to sing at an event alongside some of Europe's most talented creatives, performers and songwriters.
"I hope to sing my head off in a way the UK can be proud of, and to showcase a song I wrote with my friends last summer makes the whole experience even more special. See you in Turin legends!"

The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 grand final will be held on Saturday, May 14 and will be broadcast on live television.

The competition is taking place in Turin, Italy.
A statement on the official Eurovision website reads: "The Italian city of Turin has won the race to become the Host City of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, having triumphed over 16 other competing bids. The Grand Final will be held in PalaOlimpico on Saturday 14 May with Semi-Finals on 10 and 12 May."
