
The discovery of an unexploded World War Two bomb has led to the cancellation of Eurostar services between London and Paris on Friday.
The historic bomb was discovered during overnight rail works in the Saint-Denis area of Paris, which is home to landmarks like the Stade de France.
Early Friday morning, Eurostar said: “All Eurostar trains are cancelled to and from Paris today.”

That includes all services on lines London-Paris, Paris-London, Brussels-Paris and Paris-Brussels. Trains between London and Brussels are not impacted.
The company added: “Customers can exchange their ticket for free to travel at a different time or date in the same travel class. This is subject to availability.”

Paris flights
On Friday after lunchtime, British Airways is running six flights from Heathrow to Paris Charles de Gaulle, and most of those planes are already filled.
A 4.40pm flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle with a stopover at Munich is being sold at £314. A 5pm flight is currently being sold for £463. While another, which departs at 6.20pm, is being sold from £264.
Lufthansa is offering two other flights, but these aren’t direct. The first is at 5.30pm, flying to CDG Paris Charles de Gaulle, with a stopover at Frankfurt. However, the normally short flight is estimated to be around 11 hours if you decide on this route (£183).
Their other flight is at 7.30pm, and is the same route, flight time, and price.
ITA Airways also has a flight to Paris Charles de Gaulle departing at 4.40pm from London City airport for £221. However, the flight has a planned layover at Rome Fiumicino.
Paris ferries

You may considering travelling with a car and taking the ferry from Dover to Calais. The route takes roughly one hour and 30 minutes.
There are nine ferries taking this route from noon, including at least one ferry every hour until 7.30pm.
Price shown are for one person travelling with a Volkswagen Polo. Price may increase or decrease depending on number of passengers and type of car.
Alternatively, other ferry routes from Dover to Dunkirk (one hour and 35 minutes) , Folkestone to Calais (35 minutes) are also available on Friday.
Paris helicopter
You can join a private trip and split the entire cost with other passengers through cost-sharing options offered by certain helicopter charter companies, such as Wingly.
Depending on the number of passengers (for example £1,862 for one, £1,248 for two, and £940 for three), a flight from Denham (near London) to Paris using Wingly can start at £757 per person.
You can also fly with Thunder Aviation from £9,975 to Paris Heliport.
An average helicopter ride between London and Paris is four hours.
