European transfer news: Barcelona and PSG open to selling Depay and Wijnaldum

Barcelona are still grappling with the fall-out from their financial problems and they are struggling to put together a package to land Bayern Munich's wantaway striker Robert Lewandowski.

They may have to sell to fund their spending and Frenkie de Jong is wanted by Erik ten Hag at Manchester United while several other players with the Catalan club have been linked with the Nou Camp exit door.

Barca's La Liga rivals Real Madrid might have missed out on Kylian Mbappe, who stayed at Paris Saint-Germain, but they brought in one of European football's hottest young talents in the form of Monaco forward Aurelien Tchouameni and will now look to tie down a few other stars. Mirror Sport has rounded up the latest transfer news and rumours from around the continent.

PSG welcome Wijnaldum offers

90mins report that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to listen to offers for Gini Wijnaldum just one season after signing him from Liverpool. Wijnaldum, 31, signed a three-year deal with PSG last summer when he joined on a Bosman free transfer from Jurgen Klopp's side. The Dutch midfielder failed to hold down a regular starting place under former boss Mauricio Pochettino last season and now PSG's new management team are ready to let him go. New director of football Luis Campos wants Lille's Renato Sanches and may offload Wijnaldum to make room for him.

Barca consider Depay sale

Caughtoffside.com carries a report from Sport in Spain, claiming Barcelona may be open to selling Memphis Depay this summer. Depay was signed by fellow Dutchman Ronald Koeman last summer on a Bosman from Lyon and current boss Xavi is willing to consider cashing in on him. Depay, 28, has managed just 13 goals in 38 appearances for Barca and Xavi feels he may be able to offload him to fund moves for targets like Robert Lewandowski. Depay only has 12 months left on his deal on the Nou Camp and Barca must either sell him this summer or hand him new terms to avoid losing him for nothing next year.

Vinicius ready to commit

Football Espana claim Vinicius is ready to sign a new contract with Real Madrid and commit his long-term future to the club. Vinicius is in demand after scoring the winner for Real in the Champions League Final and Paris St Germain are interested in the Brazilian striker. His current deal at the Bernabeu runs until 2024 and he has said he is willing to put pen to paper on new terms. "I will continue with the biggest club in the world," he said. "This is just the beginning. I have many things to conquer."
