European giants 'in talks' with Paul Pogba and other Manchester United rumours

Paul Pogba could reportedly be heading to Spain or Italy this summer as he prepares to leave Manchester United.

The midfielder is due to make his United exit at the end of the season when his contract expires. The World Cup winner was taken off after 10 minutes with a calf injury during his club’s 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool on Tuesday.

The extent of the problem is unknown but Gary Neville mooted that it could be the last time Pogba is seen in a United jersey. He was booed by some supporters when being substituted in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Norwich with more jeering continuing after the final whistle when heading down the tunnel.

The Manchester Evening News understands that Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to the 29-year-old, who also hasn’t ruled out a Premier League switch. Sky Sports now reports several European clubs are in talks with the player, including Real Madrid and Juventus.

Meanwhile, UOL report that a potential move to Brazilian club Botafogo for Edinson Cavani is off. The striker sees his contract at Old Trafford expire this summer after an injury-riddled campaign.

The 35-year-old had been linked with a move to Botafogo but the club have now ended their interest after the player’s agent, Walter Guglielmone, ignored their two-year offer. The report adds that the deal included a one-year extension with wages close to Cavani’s demands, but Guglielmone failed to respond.
