The National Lottery has notified the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky ticket holder.
There was no winner of Friday night’s EuroMillions draw which was worth just over €54 million, meaning that Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot is now heading for an estimated €65 million.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery has called on all players nationwide to check their tickets, saying: "The €54 million jackpot up for grabs wasn’t won but over 48,000 players in Ireland have won prizes, in particular, one lucky player in Co. Kildare who won the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize.
"We are specifically calling on our online players in Kildare to check their emails today to see if they are the latest winner of this prize.
"The winner should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.”"
Meanwhile, tonight’s Lotto draw million was worth €8,853,923 but there was no winner of the jackpot or Lotto Plus 1 prize.
However, an additional €1 million was added to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund which meant that all winners of the Lotto Plus Raffle shared an extra €1 million between them.
There were 94 winners of the Raffle Prize each receiving €11,138.
The winning raffle number was: 8317.
