The largest ever amount of prize money has been won on the Euromillions by a UK ticket holder. The lucky winner scooped an incredible £184 million - but Camelot have not yet confirmed that anyone has come forward to claim the cash.
The previous largest amount won in the UK was £170 million in October 2019, with the winner choosing to retain their anonymity. The new winner will be able to stay anonymous if they wish - and if they come forward.
The lucky ticket holder had these numbers: 3, 25, 27, 28 and 29 , plus Lucky Star numbers 4 and 9 . The money makes the ticket-holder richer than the net worth of Adele, boxer Anthony Joshua, and acting star Benedict Cumberbatch, reports The Manchester Evening News.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser for Camelot, the operator of the UK National Lottery, said: “What an amazing night for one UK ticket-holder who has scooped the incredible £184 million EuroMillions jackpot – they have become the UK’s biggest ever National Lottery winner.
“Players are urged to check their tickets and give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”
How to check if you've won the EuroMillions
Depending on how you played, you could check on the National Lottery site, app, or by going back to the store you bought the ticket from.
The fastest way is to use the automatic EuroMillions Results Checker to see if you’re a winner, where you enter your numbers and click 'check' - it will then scan all possible winning combinations.
The prize money must be claimed in 180 days of the draw, otherwise the money will go to National Lottery projects in the UK.
