Euro 2024 last-16: Full fixtures, as things stand

Euro 2024 last-16: Full fixtures, as things stand: Niclas Fuellkrug of Germany celebrates scoring his team's first goal with teammates during the UEFA EURO 2024 group stage match between Switzerland and Germany at Frankfurt Arena on June 23, 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Looking for the Euro 2024 last-16 full fixtures, as things stand? We have you covered.

Germany got the ball rolling at Euro 2024 with an emphatic victory over Scotland last week and since then we've seen wins for a number of the tournament's leading contenders, while Slovakia provided us with the biggest shock when they stunned Belgium.

With the third and decisive round of group games now underway, what is the current state of play when it comes to how the last-16 is shaping up?

The Euro 2024 last-16 full fixtures, as things stand

Here is how the last-16 currently looks, as of 10pm on Sunday, June 23:

Spain v Slovakia
Germany v
Denmark
Portugal v Hungary
France v Belgium
Romania v Slovenia
Netherlands v Turkey
England v Austria
Switzerland v Italy

England are currently in position to top Group C – as things stand, they would face the third-placed team in Group D, Austria, but that could change depending on results in the other groups.

The winners of that tie would currently be due to face Switzerland or Italy in the quarter finals, in what currently looks like the much easier bottom half of the draw. Spain, Germany, Portugal are all confirmed to be in the top half, unable to play England until the final, while France are on course to be in that half too.

Should England fail to beat Slovenia in their last fixture in Group C though and drop to second place, they could end up in the top half of the draw too, facing a significantly tougher second-round fixture against hosts Germany.

Scotland's defeat to Hungary saw them eliminated, and there would be a few other notable absentees for the knockout stages if this picture were to remain untouched – World Cup semi-finalists Croatia are also on course to miss out.

Hungary, Slovenia, Austria and Slovakia are currently due to be the four third-placed teams to make it through.

This picture will change though, as there will be plenty more twists and turns over the next few days.
