The European Union welcomed on Friday the extension of the nationwide truce in Yemen.
In a press statement, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell said since April 2, the truce has led to tangible benefits to the Yemeni people.
The EU encourages the continuation of work to re-open roads, particularly around the city of Taiz, he added.
The truce has been extended for two more months.
He confirmed that the EU will continue to work with all parties in Yemen and will provide full support for UN special envoy Hans Grundberg to reach a political solution to the crisis in Yemen.
