At 96 years old, Ethel Kennedy is known for her environmental and human rights activism. She played a significant role in founding the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization, which continues to advocate for causes championed by her late husband, Robert F. Kennedy. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama in 2014.
